We have had the SOILTEX fibre in our indoor for 20+ years, only recently topping it up with more sand and fibre.

The horses respond really well to the footing, keeping them feeling their best on the flat as well as jumping.  They feel confident in their work on the Soiltex surface as it gives them the cushioning and secure support they need to be their best.

It’s now impossible to imagine our covered arena without its Soiltex transformation wrought just a few short months ago.  Not only is it more comfortable underfoot for our therapy horses, but it’s also far safer for their riders as well as for our volunteers.

Thought I would send through how well my EBB & FLOW arena has coped with 45mm of rain today!  I just love it, such a beautiful surface to ride on all year round.

My husband built this arena having done many before that and we decided to purchase the Soiltex arena surface a couple of years ago. Our daughter is riding the higher movements and the arena is used at least five days a week. We are firm believers that it aids in both the comfort of the horse whilst training and also in the longjevity of its legs. This surface barely leaves a hoof print as the horse is riding over the surface it seems to glide and the horses just seem far more comfortable and free moving. It is super easy to maintain, it rides great even after loads of rain, it looks amazing and I am sure the horses enjoy it far more..

People have often said to me oh yes but you don’t compete on the surface like that so what’s the point of putting one in to which I always reply yes but 99% of the training is on a superb surface so why wouldn’t you LOL.

Quite simply, SOILTEX is THE best horse related purchase we have made and we consider ourselves so lucky to have such a beautiful and effective arena here at home. Highly recommended.

Back in 2017 I contacted Kim from Capricorn Australia about the ins and outs of their Ebb & Flow dressage arenas.  

I didn’t quite understand the concept of so much sand being needed in an arena but loved the idea of dust free training and the horses being worked on a SOILTEX surface.  Fast forward 3 years and I’ve had my first ride on this amazing surface!  Many words came to mind when I first walked on it and then rode on it but to sum it up, I’d have to say "comfort" and "compact".

"My new Soiltex arena is great.  We've had very good rain, some of it in a very heavy storm, 37mms in about an hour and a half.  I was really concerned about the new surface as I didn't want to see it running down the paddock. 

Was absolutely delighted to go up and find just one or two small furrows around the gate and none of it washed away.  

The stability of the SOILTEX is fantastic.  I spent the first week lunging making sure that I used all the arena each time.  Wonderful to see the Fonz using his hocks and having to work (he's usually so lazy).  Riding him I can feel such a difference.  His confidence has improved and I can feel that he's so much happier.  All this of course has increased my comfort levels and therefore made me much happier as well."

"When I was in Europe last year I rode on this product in many different stables and loved it! So when Lou rang to tell me he could supply it for our new arena I was very excited. It is lovely to ride on, combining with sand to provide a stable, spongy surface which does not move under the horses feet. It gives a really elasticy feel to the horses paces. Mum and I both coach and train on it all day and it doesn't leave tracks and kick up the sideboards like sand alone does, so this means less maintenance. It also seems to absorb water really well so we can ride on the arena in all weather conditions."
